Pastors Luis and Eliana Corella began the ministry of Iglesia Libertad on January 20, 2008, in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

God’s calling for their lives was clear: to bring freedom and respond to the great spiritual need of the city, leading Los Cabos to Christ.

Their pastoral journey began 17 years ago when they first moved to Los Cabos. From that moment on, they decided to serve together as a couple, giving their lives to God and His work.

It all started with a trip… During a vacation in March, they returned to Los Cabos and shared Christ with their childhood friends. Many of them received Jesus. But when they went back to Tijuana, Luis and Eliana couldn’t stop asking themselves: What’s next for all those new believers?

They began to pray, asking God to show them His will. “Lord, if You want us to return, open the doors,” was their prayer. In time, the doors in Tijuana began to close, while in Los Cabos God made a way without them even looking for it.

Since then, Pastors Luis and Eliana have dedicated their lives to this vision. For them, Iglesia Libertad is not just a church, it is a family. A second home where God’s love has covered them, and where that same love is poured out over every person who walks through the doors.

This is the pastoral heart of Luis and Eliana Corella: to love, to serve, and to guide every spiritual son and daughter God has entrusted to their care.
